It’s something I see all the time no matter where I speak across the country.
It seems to be a common trend that I’m passionate about eliminating because it doesn’t have to be this way.
Women business owners that have had tremendous amount of success throughout their lives who are now struggling.
They are successful, confident and struggling.
Struggling with their businesses, struggling with getting clients and customers and struggling to make money and they don’t know why.
They have impeccable credentials and none of the successes. They are smart yet are not recognizing the new matrix of decision-making that needs to guide their current businesses. Again, it doesn’t have to be this way.
I should know. I found myself in the same position when I started this current businesses. I went to college on a scholarship, won sales rep of the year several times, have a master degree, owned a clinical practice and successfully sold another business. I thought making money in this business would be easy and I would be a huge success right from the start.
But when it didn’t happen that way, I found myself frustrated, discouraged and blaming myself. It was unbelievable to me that I was relying on the McDonald’s $1 menu so I could eat.
Then one day, I found myself in a situation making tons of money for someone else and wondering why I wasn’t doing the same for my own business. What I realized was, I thought I had been doing the right things, what I sadly learned was I really wasn’t.
From that moment on, I changed the way I approached my business.
Changed the way I made decisions that aligned with the new way business was happening.
I remembered that the fundamentals of business hadn’t changed and that needed to be my platform to build my success.
Though I loved what I did and how I worked with my clients, I embraced the business of being in business. All my previous success came rushing back and I realized if I wasn’t having successful sales conversations with potential clients, not only would I be out of business, but then the transformational dreams I held for my clients would also never happen.
