My most frequent questions.

My partner doesn’t want to come. Can I still attend individually for my relationship?
Yes. This is a common situation. I can help you learn the relationship skills and communication skills that can impact your relationship for the better. If you start changing, your partner will need to respond to you differently. That can lead to conversations that lead to more connection. Don’t hold yourself back. Invest in yourself and your relationship.
Do couples fight in front of you?

Yes. It happens. It can give me a tremendous insight into what truly happens at home. But I will not let that go on if it’s unhealthy or disrespectful. And never more than a few minutes.

Do you take sides?
Most therapists will tell you they don’t take sides. When you work only with relationships, you understand that no matter the issue coming into your office, both partners contribute and often do not contribute equally. It’s my job to point that out so we can all work together to communicate and collaborate for the ultimate connection to a resolution.
How do I know you’re the right one for me?

Most clients have gone to several therapists before they show up in my office. I’m here to help you. Besides being a caring and active questioner and listener, I have a loving, direct way about me. I share what I see, feel, and sense about what is going on.

Relationships need feedback and direction because we don’t teach healthy relationship skills. I do – with a combination of therapy, coaching, teaching, feedback, and skill building. If you’re looking for someone like myself, make an appointment now.

Who do you work with?

I work with couples and individuals to help them craft an extraordinary relationship that is missing from their lives so they love and live well.

I specialize in working with entrepreneurial couples and individual entrepreneurs who have additional pressures that owning a business can create in the relationship and for themselves.

My work also includes working with individuals about their relationship with money and working with businesses to develop better relationships with their people and clients.

What services do you offer?
I have a variety of services for couples and individuals: assessments, therapy, coaching, retreats, and intensives. Please go to Services in the Navigation Bar to read about each.
What is your training and experience?
My education is an MA in Psychology specializing in Marriage & Family Therapy. I’m licensed in Texas as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor). With 25 years of experience working in the relationship field, I have several certifications and have trained with some of the best relationship trainers in the field. I get asked many times, “What are your hobbies?”

Here goes – I love making things with my hands. I’ll try any craft or tool to make something that has caught my attention. Right now, I’m making cute things for my first grandchild, a little girl. She has my heart.
